Under the new norm, WBEC-West is excited to be kicking off our next major upcoming event, the 2022 Unconventional Women’s Conference Luncheon (2022 UWC). This luncheon will take place on July 27, 2022, from 12:00pm PST – 3:00pm PST at Plaza de Magdalena in San Juan Capistrano, CA. WBEC-West is hosting this event to bring together a unique focus on how to build WBE’s brand effectively with Supplier Diversity professionals and the importance of utilizing the WBE logo.

This unique experience will begin with a momentum building Amtrack train ride from San Diego, CA. or Los Angeles, CA. to San Juan Capistrano, CA. Currently, we are expecting Southern California Edison, AT&T, SoCalGas, Sony, SDG&E and The Metropolitan Water District. During the train ride, attending corps will network with on-board WBE’s until it is time to arrive at San Juan Capistrano train station. The train station is a short walk (Across the street) to Plaza de Magdalena. 

 

During the luncheon, Corporates will share their process of looking for suppliers and we will also be hosting a panel discussion focusing on the importance of certification, how to do business with corporates, and the importance of utilizing the women-owned logo. Additionally, our guest presenter, Darlene Guinty, will share “How to do Business with SRP."

 

We hope the 2022 UWC will provide an opportunity for WBE’s to experience a rich, networking friendly environment full of idea exchange, motivation, and community building.
